I feel so fortunate to have my son enrolled in the Kindergarten class at DCA. My son started in their preschool program and we have been very pleased with our experience. DCA is housed in a church but it has adequate play space and classroom space. The teachers and director are extremely caring and genuinely love kids. DCA has been very flexible with my son’s schedule. They use a lot of positive reinforcement and are very patient. DCA fosters a great learning environment and we especially love the science experiments they do. The Kindergarten class size is really small and the teacher is able to do one on one reading instruction with the kids every week. My son (4.5 years old) is able to read at a third grade reading level and is starting to add two digit numbers. I have worked with him since he was little but DCA really has facilitated a love of learning, especially writing, puzzles, and building. Also, our son’s life skills and social skills have really improved since he started attending (it helps that the other children who attend DCA are generally very nice, the hostess for my son’s birthday party even told us this). Most notably, the same exact teachers have been at DCA since my son started attending in 2013. This allows all the teachers to know my son really well, his personality and sensitivities. I think that is really special.
