Kindergarten builds confidence
With over 40 years of experience, our all-day and half-day kindergarten classes have a proven history of academic excellence. Your child will excel with a strong emphasis on reading, math, and science. Our kindergarten strengthens problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
Students receive special one-on-one reading instruction from Ms. Richele, our kindergarten teacher. She has been a teacher at DCA for over 25 years and was nominated as one of Metro Parent’s Top Teachers in SE Michigan. Our accelerated program and small class size help children become fluent readers and exceptionally well-prepared to enter elementary school. We foster socialization and teamwork through our math, science, and social studies programs.
Every year our Kindergarten class looks forward to the delivery of the caterpillars. Ms. Loretta places them carefully into our special butterfly house where we can observe and learn about the different stages of how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. When it’s time, the entire school watches in amazement as our beautiful butterflies are set free and fly away to their new homes.
